Kapur became one of just 15 workplaces to earn special honors on Friday as the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel released its 2023 Top Workplaces list.

In addition to being named No. 5 out of nearly 70 companies in the Midsize Company category, Kapur has been inducted into the select group of 15 by earning Founders Status, given only to those who’ve earned a place on the list every year since the publication began recognizing the top workplaces in southeast Wisconsin 14 years ago.

To earn accolades, organizations must receive top marks across 13 categories on anonymous employee surveys related to leadership, employee engagement, career opportunities, workplace culture, compensation, benefits, the impact company policies have on morale, and other positive traits that contribute to a great work environment.

Kapur also earned its second consecutive Appreciation Award, given to the firm with the top score in the “I Feel Genuinely Appreciated at This Company” category.

One employee stated that they felt appreciated because of “the constant kindness all around,” while other responses included “No matter who I pass in the hallways, whether I have seen them or not, [I] always get a good morning” and “I have recently been given new responsibilities that will eventually grow into a promotion that I never expected.”

Other employees cited an open-door policy and regular access to senior management as a reason to feel appreciated. Positive reinforcement and acknowledgment from managers were mentioned as well, along with career growth opportunities.
