Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineering and Survey CAD Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed 3D models for construction layout using CAD software. This role requires a strong understanding of engineering principles, surveying techniques, and proficiency in CAD tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed 3D models for construction layout using AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, and other CAD software.
- Process and integrate LiDAR point cloud data into CAD models.
- Collaborate with engineers, surveyors, and project managers to understand project requirements and specifications.
- Perform quality control checks on models to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Process raw field data and integrate it into CAD models.
- Conduct site visits to gather physical measurements and convert them into digital formats.
- Maintain and organize a database of all CAD drawings and models.
- Provide technical support and mentorship to junior CAD technicians.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in CAD technologies and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a CAD technician role, with a focus on engineering and surveying.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, and other relevant CAD software.
- Experience with LiDAR point cloud processing and integration.
- Strong understanding of construction layout.
- Experience with Trimble Business Center and other survey processing software.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, surveying, or a related field is preferred.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of ArcGIS and other GIS software.
- Experience with construction staking and surface modeling.
- SIT registration or in pursuit is a plus.
