To help a design come to life, WisDOT needed Kapur.

When WisDOT determined the Adler Booster Station needed to be relocated because of its impeding on an efficient design for the new Zoo Interchange, it naturally turned to Kapur to solve the problem.

The initial scope of the work included a review of the district’s pressure operation limits, Milwaukee Water Works Bluemound and Adler Booster Station’s current pumping data, and siting for a new suitable location for the station’s three identical pumps sized for 1.5 MGD at 70 TDH. An engineering report was drafted to establish key design parameters for the subsequent design phases, for which Kapur provided preliminary design, final design, and PS&E.

This included a design offering more redundancy for flexibility, with an above-ground low-maintenance roof and façade, as well as access parking.
