Currently serving more than 20 communities with construction costs ranging from $100,000 to $1.8 million annually, Kapur has spent the past 40 years becoming a household name in Wisconsin by consistently and successfully providing annual street, utility, sidewalk, and alley improvement programs.
Our services include complete design and construction administration for annual rehabilitation, reconstruction, and repair programs, which all start when we coordinate with municipal staff on their five-year street improvement programs by reviewing their municipal street conditions using PACER software. This process is completed when the utility superintendent for each program coordinates associated utility repair and replacement projects, and the plans for the sidewalk repair and new sidewalk program are prepared and bid with the street and utility repair program each year.
Management
An initial budget is reviewed, and once municipal approval is achieved, Kapur begins the design to ensure projects can be bid early in the year and achieve the best results. Preliminary plans are submitted to municipal staff for review and comment prior to bid services, and regularly scheduled review meetings with municipal staff occur throughout the design process, with frequency dependent upon the complexity of the projects. Kapur’s construction management includes daily logs, weekly staff updates, regular council updates, and substantial and final completion submittal, ensuring our management of contractor schedule is maintained, with penalties enforced as needed.
Budget
Kapur utilizes PlanTrax software to monitor contract budgets and schedules, allowing us to present updated project data to our clients efficiently and easily – it’s why our design and construction contracts consistently come in under originally scoped budgets.
