Kapur was contracted to perform environmental services on the Loomis Crossing project by the City of Greenfield as part of the planning efforts of the development.
Kapur staff conducted a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment in general accordance with the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) guideline E1527-13 and the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Title 40, Code of Federal Regulations, Part 312 (40 CFR Part 312) – Standard Practices for All Appropriate Inquiries (AAI) and included site reconnaissance of the project area and a search of regulatory and historical records to determine sources of potential environmental contamination.
We subsequently conducted a Phase II Environmental Site Assessment to identify existing and potential subsurface contamination that could influence the proposed development.
During this process we supervised, the installation of 18 soil borings and collected 22 soil samples for laboratory analysis of VOCs, RCRA Metals, and PAHs.
