Substation Retirement

Kapur staff designed the Phase 2 and 3 rebuilt facilities and converted them from 8kV to 24.9kV systems. This was done as part of the four phase project to retire an aging 8kV substation that had limited bridging to other 8kV feeders.

The total distance rebuilt and converted for each phase:

Phase 2

• 14.3 miles overhead
• 1.1 miles underground

Phase 3

• 12.7 miles overhead
• 2.1 miles underground
