As we continue expanding our office presence throughout the US, we’re excited to announce that Ken Welden has joined Kapur as Regional Manager for our new North Port, Florida office!
With a career spanning 25+ years, he most recently served as Vice President of Development for Point Charlotte Development in Florida, overseeing the scheduling, coordination, and supervision of all project-related field operations for the $695M world-class Sunseeker Resort.
Earning a Civil Engineering degree from UW-Milwaukee, Ken spent the first 11 years of his career at one of Milwaukee’s largest site civil engineering consulting firms, working exclusively on large retail projects throughout the US providing all aspects of on-site civil design, as well as off-site infrastructure improvements. This includes conducting and managing site due diligence studies in over 25 states for nationally renowned companies like Cabela’s, The Mills Corporation, General Growth Properties, The Goodman Company, and CBRE.
In 2008, Ken moved to Las Vegas to become Director of Engineering for a large local firm, purchasing its Civil Engineering Branch two years later. Growing that company for five years, he sold it in 2015 to a large national civil engineering firm, remaining there until establishing K52 Consulting in 2018.
During his time in Las Vegas, he worked on numerous large projects, including Allegiant Stadium, UFC World Headquarters, and the 100-acre mixed-use Downtown Summerlin development for Howard Hughes.
Ken will assist Kapur with public and private client management, business development, and project delivery in Florida.
Kapur became one of just 15 workplaces to earn special honors on Friday as the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel released its 2023 Top Workplaces list.
On August 18, 2022, Kapur was awarded the top-ranked company in the Milwaukee Business Journal’s Best Places to Work “Extra-Large” category.
